Hello and Welcome.
The Fajr Times is a news site that aims to provide a fun read with a bit of learning mixed in. Our goal is to provide 2 interesting, educational, and topical news articles daily. However, for the first few months it will probably be more like 2 articles a week instead. We're still building the site and figuring stuff out. We'll probably make adjustments for what works and remove what doesn't. We welcome and encourage feedback (checkout the contact page).
We want to write all our articles ourselves and not leverage AI to write everything for us. This doesn't mean we won't use AI to improve grammar or collect data and facts but it does mean we'll design the topic, write it ourselves, and do the final editing. AI has come a long way and there are plenty of similar sites that just churn out AI articles in mass. I think people can tell the difference, at least for now, and we want to provide articles written by real people for real people. Eventually every article will have documentation telling exactly were humans and AI were involved in creating the content.
The Fajr Times is focused on providing content for American Muslims but everyone is welcome. Some content will be about culture, some about tech, some about spiritual, some will be interviews, and some will be recent news events. You should expect to see a lot of different topics here but all will have a similar theme of benefiting the American Muslim community.
